AICTE Pragati & Saksham Scholarship Scheme 2023

Scholarship for Girls under PRAGATI Scheme and Scholarship for Differently Abled Students under SAKSHAM Scheme 2024 Implemented by All India Council For Technical Education, New Delhi.

PRAGATI Scheme:

Pragati is a scheme of AICTE aimed at assisting the Advancement of Girls' participation in Technical Education. Education is one of the most important means of empowering women with the knowledge, skill, and self-confidence necessary to participate fully in the development process. This is an attempt to give every young Woman the opportunity to further her education and prepare for a successful future by “ Empowering Women Through Technical Education”.

Saksham (Scholarship to Differently Abled Students):

Saksham is a scheme of AICTE aimed at providing encouragement and support to specially-abled children to pursue Technical Education. This an attempt to give every young student who is otherwise specially-abled, the opportunity to study further and prepare for a successful future.

Amount of scholarship: Tuition Fee of INR 30000/- or at actual, whichever is less, and INR 2000/- per month for 10 months as incidentals each year.

Eligibility:

PRAGATI Scheme:

• Only for One Girl per family.
• Family income should be less than INR 6 Lakhs per Annum.
• Students Admitted for Diploma/Undergraduate Degree Level Programmes/Courses in AICTE Approved Institutions.
• Only for the students admitted in the first year of their Degree/Diploma for the academic year 2024.

Saksham scholarships:

• Only for Differently Abled Students having more than 40% disability.
• Family income should be less than INR 6 Lakhs per Annum.
• Students Admitted for Diploma/Undergraduate Degree Level Programmes/Courses in AICTE Approved Institutions.
• Only for the students admitted in the first year of their Degree/Diploma for the academic year 2024

Number of awards offered: Up to 4000 Pragati scholarships will be awarded per year. Up to 1000 Saksham scholarships will be awarded. Out of the total number of scholarships in each scheme, 50% of scholarships are available at each Degree /Diploma level and also transferable in the event of the non-availability of the eligible applicant in any of the Degree/ Diploma level programs. Under each Scholarship Scheme 15%, 7.5% & 27% of Scholarships will be reserved for SC, ST & OBC Students respectively.

Duration of award(s): Scholarships will be awarded for up to ten months.

Selection Criteria: The candidates will be selected on Merit at the qualifying examination.
