Global Scholarship at Kent State University 2025

Kent State established the Global Scholarship because it values diversity among its student population and as a result, seeks to attract a greater number of high-quality international students to its campuses. The Global Scholarship is available to all incoming international undergraduate degree-seeking students who have been admitted to Kent State.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Applicants must be classed as international students.
• Applicant must be an F1 visa holder.
• Applicants should be a first-year or transfer student.
• Applicants cannot be graduates or current students.

Application Process:

• Students will be automatically considered for the scholarship upon admission to Kent State University. 

Value of the Scholarship:

• Selected candidates are awarded the scholarship based on the GPA:
  • Admitted to Honors College - USD 15,000 + Honors Scholarship (USD 2,000)
  • 3.70+ -       USD 12,000
  • 3.6 - 3.69 - USD 10,000
  • 3.5 - 3.59 - USD 7,000
  • 3.49 and below - USD 4,300

Note: ESL-only students and visiting students will receive USD 4,300/year provided they are enrolled in a minimum of 12 credit hours.
