MCW Global Young Leaders Fellowship Program 2025

The Young Leaders Fellowship Program is a year-long program that prepares young people, aged 18 to 26, to become leaders of change in their communities through leadership development, global citizenship, self-awareness, and vision planning. The YLP team, mentors, and mentees all work together to impact communities through innovative ideas and concrete projects, truly accomplishing the purpose of Local Change Through Global Exchange.

The major portion of the program is conducted through virtual channels and a 10-day in-person training in the state of New York.

Program Description:

Young Leaders Access Program 2024 begins with the Community Needs Assessment, a 1-month community needs mapping project that prepares young people to better understand their local community. Following this, Young Leaders participate in a 10-day in-person training program that helps them become leaders of positive change in their communities. The last 10 months would be spent on the development and implementation of their action plans with support from alumni mentors.

Eligibility criteria for the MCW Global Young Leaders Access Program 2024:

• Applicants must be between the ages of 18-26 at the start of the program.
• All candidates must pay a refundable deposit of USD 100 for a successful application.
• Applicants must identify an issue about health, education, or economic security.
• Applicants must be fluent in written and spoken English.
• Applicants must commit to the completion of the Young Leaders Fellowship Program.
• Applicants must adhere to Young Leaders Access Program graduation guidelines (to be provided upon acceptance to the program).

Application Process:

• Applicants must create an account in the portal and submit the online application form.
• Applicants should submit the following documents for successful application:
  • Answering the essay questions
  • Uploading the Resume
  • Furnishing 2 letters of recommendation

Notes:

The Young Leaders Fellowship Program 2024 will not cover the following costs:

• Passport fees
• Visa fees
• Travel to the airport, extra baggage fees, etc.
