Study Scholarships - Postgraduate Studies in the Fields of Fine Art, Design, Visual Communication and Film - DAAD 2025

Eligibility Criteria for the Scholarship :

• The candidates applying should have received a first university degree in the fields of Fine Art, Design/Visual Communication, and Film.
• The applicants must be enrolled in a state-recognized institution for the master's program in Fine Art, Design, Visual Communication, and Film.
• The applicants must identify as international students.

Application Process :

• All eligible candidates must first register in the DAAD portal.
• The candidates must submit the supporting documents mentioned in the portal.
• The candidates must fill out the application form and upload the application documents to the portal in PDF format. 

Value of the Scholarship :

• EUR 992 per month
• Travel allowance
• One-off study allowance
• Payments toward health, accident, and personal liability insurance cover
  Under certain circumstances, scholarship holders may receive the following additional benefits:
  • Monthly rent subsidy
  • Monthly allowance for accompanying members of the family.
  • In case of a disability or chronic illness: on application, a subsidy may be provided for justified additional costs, incurred in Germany due to the disability, that are necessary to realize the project in Germany and that are not covered by a third party.
  • Green Mobility Top Up (Support for climate-friendly travel) or reimbursement of carbon offset payments for air travel.
