Swami Vivekananda merit cum means Scholarship 2025

The Swami Vivekananda Merit-Cum-Means Scholarship Scheme is aimed at supporting meritorious students from economically disadvantaged families in West Bengal to pursue higher education. The scholarship is designed for students from various academic levels, including Class XI and XII, undergraduate, post-graduate, and research levels.

1. Eligibility:

• Academic Requirements: Applicants must have a minimum of 60% in the previous qualifying exam (75% for those passing before 2020).
• For diploma courses and certain technical/professional studies, 60% marks are required.
• Family Income: The family income must not exceed Rs. 2,50,000 per year.
• Course Level: Scholarships are available for students in courses like Science, Arts, Commerce, Engineering, Medical, Technical, and Professional programs at undergraduate, postgraduate, and research levels.
• Special Provisions: Girls in Post Graduate courses with 45% in Under Graduate courses from West Bengal institutions can apply as Kanyashree (K3) applicants.

2. Application Process:

• Online Application: Candidates need to apply through the scholarship portal. The applications are processed based on academic merit and income eligibility.
• Documents Required: Bank account details, qualifying exam results, and income certificates must be submitted online. No hard copies are needed.
• Renewal: Students must apply online for renewal by submitting their marksheets for the next academic level, with a requirement for good academic performance.
