The University of Minnesota is offering undergraduate research scholarships to prospective freshmen.

Eligibility for the Undergraduate Research Scholarships:

Applicants for the Undergraduate Research Scholarships should be freshmen at the University of Minnesota.
Applicants should be international students and not participate in a URS and UROP during the same semester.
The Undergraduate Research Scholarships are offered to undertake a research project in conjunction with a faculty mentor.
Applicants should submit the application form, including the research proposal and recommendation form from a faculty or mentor.
Applicants should not start the research until the application has been approved.

Value of the Scholarship:

The successful applicants of the Undergraduate Research Scholarships will receive $1,400 for 120 hours of research.

Application: Applicants must submit the application materials for review at any time throughout their first two years. You may not begin your research until approved. There are no application deadlines.
